The State Does Not Have the Power<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Should abortion be legal? No. While the law can make abortion legal - it can never make it right.<\/p>\n

\u201c[N]o law<\/strong> whatsoever can ever make licit an act which is intrinsically illicit<\/strong>, since it is contrary to the Law of God which is written in every human heart, knowable by reason itself\u201d. (Evangelium Vitae, 62)<\/a><\/p>\n

Human life<\/strong> \"does not belong<\/strong> to society, nor does it belong to public authority<\/strong> in any form to recognize this right for some and not for others\". (Declaration on Procured Abortion, 11)<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

\"The inalienable right to life of every innocent human individual<\/strong> is a constitutive element of a civil society and its legislation\u2026from the moment of conception\". (CCC, 2273)<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

\"[W]e must accept that there are certain limits\u2014limits<\/strong>\u2026which no one<\/strong>, whether as a private individual or as a public authority, can lawfully exceed<\/strong>.\" (Humanae Vitae, 17)<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

ABORTION BANS<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Abortion is legal in California, New York, and Ohio, while abortion bans or restrictions are in effect in Georgia, Texas, and Alabama. Catholic social teaching guides us to support abortion laws that defend<\/strong> the sanctity of human life.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

What Can I do About Abortion Laws?<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
