The Church is clear that none of the magisterial documents are teachings to or for the right or the left. Catholic social teaching is neither liberal nor conservative.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>However, there are warnings to both sides of the political works of mercy,<strong> not social justice<\/strong>.\u00a0Social justice, which is linked to the common good and the exercise of authority, <strong>results when \u201cassociations or individuals\u2026obtain what is their due, according to their nature and their vocation.\u201d <\/strong><a class=\"alternate-link\" style=\"color: #054368;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/archive\/ENG0015\/__P6N.HTM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>(Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1928)<\/em><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #054368;\">This\u00a0correct understanding of social justice\u00a0was made clear by Pope Francis when he observed: \u201cthe duty of social justice... requires the realignment of relationships between stronger and weaker peoples in terms of greater fairness\u201d;\u00a0<a class=\"alternate-link\" style=\"color: #054368;\" href=\"http:\/\/w2.vatican.va\/content\/francesco\/en\/messages\/peace\/documents\/papa-francesco_20131208_messaggio-xlvii-giornata-mondiale-pace-2014.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener
